PET CARE SERVICES
We are fortunate to live in an area where there is we have the following to offer pet
guardians: dog daycare and boarding, grooming, pet sitting, trainers and behaviorists,
veterinarians and alternative care providers. Pets in the City believes that a

A comprehensive list of animal shelters and rescue organizations can be found at
www.petfinder.com or www.metroanimal.com. The Petfinder web site also enables
you to perform a pet search to locate the type of pet you are interested in for a specific
geographical area. For your convenience, we have listed local shelters and rescue
organizations below. Most of these web sites also include helpful general information
about pet adoption and pet care.

RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS
PLEASE keep in mind that the following organizations work with foster parents only.
This calls for an unlimited number of volunteers willing to house a pet in their home until
it finds its forever home. Most rescues like this do not have extra foster parents just
hanging around. Please consider this before calling a rescue to take your pet. If you are
able to foster the said pet until a foster home opens with a rescue, it is generally
appreciated.
