Dog Training

Training Tips

Abbie's favorite items in the store to
recommend for attendees of her course
are the
Gentle Leader  by Premier and the
Halti Face Harness.  She also
recommends getting a leash that has two
handles; one onthe end, and one close the
collar.  You could also use a very short
leash.

Some of our favorite items to recommend
to folks entering a training class with a new
dog are these:

*Training treats (small bite sized pieces
such as Zukes, Whole Life or Ark Naturals)

*Treat pouch to hold your treats at your
waistline for easy reach when needed

*Gentle Lead No Pull Front Clip Harness, if
your dog is not a fan of the face harness.
Pets in the City offers in-store training
classes (for groups of no more than 4
dogs), as well as Canine Good Citizen
Classes, puppy classes, and private
training (all very affordable).  These
classes are administered by Abbie
Schoenberger.  Abbie has many years of
training experience here in St. Louis,
including the past 9 months at Pets in the
City!
